Makerstow is Steven's production atelier for moving from sketch or image to physical product. The shared process behind Makerstow and SGDesign is idea, sketch, vectorization, material choice, prototype output, and CNC milling or CNC plotting.

Makerstow makes original generative art objects and CNC-produced works. Current bases include Gaussian relief and ASCII work. Documented product categories include Japanese manhole-cover works, table tops, lamps, and auctioned original works.

## Philosophy

The work is connected to SGDesign and The Manifest by Steven Gijzendorffen. Its central theme is a celebration of technology and nature, with attention to human creativity, responsibility, and the way chosen forms make thought visible.

Makerstow offers CNC milling of sheet material from its workshop in Zaandam (Barndegat 6), on the northern edge of Amsterdam, primarily for the creative sector (artists, designers, architects and interior makers) in the greater Amsterdam region. Materials: wood, MDF, plywood, acrylic and EPS; no metal. Typical work: 3D reliefs, decorative panels, moulds, prototypes and custom furniture parts. Designs can be supplied as DXF, STEP or AI files.
